10 All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your faithful shall bless you.

speak of the glory of your kingdom, and tell of your power,
12 to make known
to all people your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendour of your
13 Your kingdom
is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout
The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds.
14 The Lord upholds
all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of
all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your
hand, satisfying the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is
just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.
18 The Lord is
near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Matthew 13:24-30 (NRSV)
24 He put before them another parable: ‘The kingdom
of heaven may be compared to someone who sowed good seed in his
25 but while everybody
was asleep, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and then
26 So when the
plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared as well.
27 And the slaves
of the householder came and said to him, “Master, did you
not sow good seed in your field? Where, then, did these weeds come
28 He answered,
“An enemy has done this.” The slaves said to him, “Then
do you want us to go and gather them?”
29 But he replied,
“No; for in gathering the weeds you would uproot the wheat
along with them.
30 Let both of
them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will
tell the reapers, Collect the weeds first and bind them in bundles
to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’
